Brynhyfryd is a bilingual co-educational comprehensive school for pupils between 11 and 18 years of age maintained by Denbighshire Education Authority. Ysgol gyfun gymysg ddwyieithog yw Brynhyfryd i ddisgyblion rhwng 11 a 18 oed sy’n cael ei chynnal gan Awdurdod Addysg Sir Ddinbych. Mae ethos dwyieithog yr Ysgol yn adlewyrchu’r gymuned y mae’n ei gwasanaethu.
Ein nod yn Ysgol Brynhyfryd yw cynnig addysg o’r safon uchaf bosibl sy’n ceisio ateb anghenion disgyblion unigol mewn amgylchedd dwyieithog cefnogol a hapus. Anogir pob disgybl i ddatblygu hunan-barch ynghyd ag agwedd gadarnhaol a chyfrifol at fywyd yn gyffredinol. Mae gan yr Ysgol werthoedd gwaith cryf a’i nod yw cymell ei holl ddisgyblion i wneud eu gorau glas bob amser.
Mae Brynhyfryd yn ysgol lwyddiannus a chyfrinach y llwyddiant hwnnw yw’r bartneriaeth agos rhwng yr Ysgol a’i rhieni, partneriaeth sy’n gweithio er lles pob disgybl.

At Brynhyfryd we aim to offer an education of the highest standard possible which tries to meet the needs of individual pupils within a supportive and happy bilingual environment. Every pupil will be encouraged to develop self respect and a positive, responsible attitude towards life in general. The School has a strong work ethic and aims to motivate all pupils to achieve their very best at all times.
Brynhyfryd is a successful school and the key to that success is the close partnership that exists between the School and its parents, a partnership that works for the benefit of each pupil.

The following pupil transport arrangements WILL resume: From Mold via Llanarmon yn Iâl From Denbigh From Llandyrnog From Llanynys The following services WILL NOT be in operation tomorrow: From Corwen and Clawdd Poncen/Pwllglas From Maeshafn/Eryrys/Graianrhyd From Cyffylliog/Bontuchel. In addition, Conwy have been advised that the Cerrig, Llanfihangel & Clawddnewydd routes should NOT OPERATE. Please note that Taxis and all feeders WILL NOT operate tomorrow. If you do live in outlying areas and anticipate that travel will be difficult or unavailable, you are advised not to attempt the journey. *** SCHOOL CLOSURE *** Dear Parent Following a decision by the Highways Department and Passenger Transport it has been decided that there will be NO PASSENGER TRANSPORT SERVICES running to any schools south of the A55 on Monday December 11th. Since the majority of our pupils and staff travel in from outlying areas we have taken the decision to close the school tomorrow. This is to ensure the safety of everybody and to avoid any risk of there being insufficient staff present to supervise pupils. I apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and would ask that you continue to check your e-mails and texts for updates regarding Tuesday 12thDecember. Thank you for your understanding. *** Due to inclement weather, road closures and limited staff we must close the school from 10am. Tutors will contact you to make safe arrangements for your child to get home. If your child normally gets a bus home please can you make arrangements to collect your child. Staff will be available until 12pm to supervise pupils waiting to be collected. ***

Well done to Oliver Jones from Year 10 who has "Braved the Shave" for Charity. He's raised a fantastic £200.00 after growing his hair for a year and a half! His hair has been donated to Macmillan Cancer to be made into a wig for cancer patients all over the UK. The Charity has raised a total of £5,350,255.31 so far for men, women and children with cancer.

The School’s Christmas Service will be held on Wednesday night 14th December, at 6:30pm in the School Hall. Entry is free, however, we will be collecting donations at the door.
