Ringwood School
Description
Ringwood School seeks to raise the aspirations of young people of all abilities by providing them with a high quality, personalised learning experience designed to help each individual achieve their potential. Welcome to Ringwood School.
It is my great pleasure to be able to share with you our vision for the future education of young people.
It is our aim to inspire the next generation by encouraging, empowering and supporting them to be successful in their chosen areas. We seek to raise the aspirations of our students, equipping them for life, learning and work in a modern technological world.
Ringwood School is an 11-19 National Teaching Academy. The school was recognised by Ofsted as ‘outstanding overall’ and ‘outstanding in its Sixth Form provision’ in November 2008. The school successfully became an Academy in April 2011 and gained National Teaching School status in July 2011.
The historic market town of Ringwood is a lively community situated close to the New Forest National Park and the Dorset World Heritage Coastline. The school lies at the heart of its community including villages in the surrounding area.
We welcome children of all abilities, interests and aptitudes and provide a high quality educational experience which reflects the very best education has to offer. We combine traditional values with a creative, innovative curriculum designed to prepare young people for a rapidly changing world. We are constantly striving to achieve the highest possible standards in all aspects of our work. We believe that young people should enjoy their school days in a safe, caring and intellectually stimulating environment, gaining a real sense of achievement and actively participating in the community life of the school.
Beyond school we nurture independence because we want all of our students to be lifelong learners committed to widening their horizons, bringing rigour, passion and enthusiasm to everything they do. Above all we want our students to enjoy their learning and their time at school. Life at Ringwood is full of challenge and opportunity, both academic and personal. We believe that ‘together we can make a difference’.
I look forward to meeting you.
