There are literally hundreds of programmes you can follow to drop weight or change your shape... many promising quick, fast results. But then what happens? The Mind Body Workout is not about a magic pill or a quick fix. I treat everyone as unique and we look at what you want to achieve and how you can make changes that suit your lifestyle. But right at the core of my philosophy is FUN. Exercise should just be part of your life.... like eating (making good food choices) and sleeping and if you can find exercise you love doing, all the better. Balance ⚖️ I went on holiday at Christmas and managed to lose 2% body fat, 2kg in weight and maintained my muscle mass. I didn't have any fancy equipment, in fact, I didn't have any equipment. I used things I could find and made up my own workouts. Exercise has always been a part of my life and just because it's holiday time, it doesn't mean it stops and I let myself go. I eat what I want but I move a lot. We are designed to move... not to sit still. It's half term this week where the Mind Body Workout break from early mornings. To make sure everyone keeps moving, this week's challenge has been Joe Wicks AKA The Body Coach's burpee variations! 5 different burpees x 10 times each. The video here is me doing the BURPEE challenge. I sped it up as normal speed would be like watching paint dry. You can find the actual burpee video on Joe's page. Alternatively try my HIIT workout posted here if burpees aren't your thing. 💪🌟 The next Mind Body Workout starts on the 17th February. Very limited space left. Happy exercising 🙌

TIMETABLE UPDATE: The timetable for the week beginning 27th February. There are no yoga classes at Abbey Road over half term and the last Mind Body Workout 6-week cycle finished today. All classes start back on the 27th February and runs until the 7th April. Post to follow. FAMILY YOGA session on Saturday 25th February in Mochdre Village Hall from 9:30-10:45am. EARLY MORNING YOGA on a Tuesday from 6:15-7:15am in Mochdre Village Hall. This class is perfect if you like a yoga workout. It is a vinyasa flow class with a element of strength and conditioning, obviously alongside stretching and relaxing. GENTLE YOGA class in Mochdre Village Hall on a Tuesday from 9:15-10:15am. If you are new to yoga, this is a great place to start. If you are a seasoned yogi but just like to take things a little slower, it is perfect for you too. PLEAE NOTE: This timetable only shows the dates and times etc for my classes at Abbey Road and Mochdre Village Hall. I also do classes for Freda Fitness on Tuesdays and Thursdays. These classes do not stop for half term. There will be a new yoga class through Freda Fitness on a Monday from 9:15-10:15am and a 6-week Boxercise class from 10:30-11:30am in Llandudno Junction. I have had so many requests to put on a family yoga session.... Finally, I have set a date. Come and join Fynley (4), Jade (15) and me in Mochdre Village Hall on Saturday 25th February. Through yoga we will play games, do balances that build trust and confidence, take time to relax and most of all we will just have some fun. A great thing to do with any age of child. Everyone welcome, just bring a child and a smile with you x Spaces are limited so please let me know if you would like to come.
