Schools out for...oh no, wait it’s not. The JCCP register opens in March, is your Practitioner going to be on it? We are already level 4 in laser hair removal and will very soon be level 4 in chemical peels, microneedling and radio frequency. At this stage you can’t get higher than level 4 unless you are wanting to deliver Botox or Fillers but be assured that if and when there is a higher level we can qualify at, we will. Additionally there is no level 4 for fat freezing, ultrasound or dermaplaning at this stage but should that come about, we’re on it. A minimum of level 4 is required to get on the register, practitioners have 5 years from the go live date to do this but for anyone serious about delivering the highest level results and service they won’t wait. We had an unusual laser consultation today in that we were the first of 4 clinics the client had consultations booked at (I didn’t know this until the end of the consultation). I had done our usual very detailed and informative (I think!) consultation and so was very interested to hear the outcome from the client. Well, I’ve not long heard from her and she has chosen to have her treatment with us. I’m really pleased obviously and will ask her the reasons for this at her first appointment, it’s always a great way to learn. Susan from ABC Lasers many moons ago gave some some of the best advice I’ve received which was ‘The best way to stop a client complaint is to prevent it’. This has always stuck with me and is one of the reasons we take our time to really explain any procedures to clients before we start them and also to set realistic expectations of treatment outcomes.
