You Can Teach an Old Dog New Tricks. Wrongly dog owners assume that you can not change your dogs behaviour once it reaches adulthood. This is so wrong, any dog is capable of being trained to become a obedient, well mannered and socialised dog. All it takes is your commitment and my help. Meet Freddie, he is a 9 yrs Shih Tzu who also lost an eye some time ago. Only recently his owner Paula has embraced my training techniques and seen a real improvement in Freddie's obedience and focus. Well done guys keep it going.

Change your dogs behaviour for the better. Another fantastic success story in behaviour change for Theo and and his very committed owner Kelly after just a few sessions. Theo is a young labradoddle who lives in a busy home. However Theo thought that he clearly was the boss at home. He would get on the sofas, beds, was grumpy towards children and was a very fussy eater, and was somewhat disobedient. By using positive reinforcement training together with structured changes in the way that Kelly behaved towards him, he is now calmer, settled and obedient. His poor behaviour has stopped. This is what can be achieved through some committed training well done Kelly keep it going.

Teaching a dog to Heel, that is to walk on a loose lead or off lead at your side will not only make your walk more enjoyable , but stop your dog puling and putting strain on its neck and throat. New Years here so lets get TRAINING. It is so important to be Committed, Consistent, Confident and Patient when you are training a dog, whether it is a companion or working gundog. We all have very busy lives and sometimes you just have to change your schedule at the last minute, but you still have a dog to train what are you going to do !!!. Just grab 5 or 10 minutes at home, in the house or the garden. A short period of positive planned training is so much better than doing nothing at all. Keep your training varied, fun and dynamic and you will see the improvements in your dogs behaviour.

Puppy Love ! Puppy conditioning training is so important, gentle steps that allow your puppy to become part of your family. Angel the Collie has ideas of becoming a top flight Gundog !! I have been providing training instruction to Steve and Lisa for a total of 12 training sessions to date. When they first came on board Angel had little or no obedience and was a committed lead puller with no focus. With commitment to their training Steve and Lisa have developed a really super dog who just wants to learn more and more. Angel is now progressing through some gundog training techniques , she is steady, focused, takes direction and stops to the whistle. Fantastic job guys... no limits !!

It happens in threes !!! So training one dog can be a challenge, multiply that by three and you really can have a testing time. I have been working to two fantastic couples who both have three dogs each which lacked obedience, and good social manners. The improvement in all the dogs has been inspiring due to the training commitment of each couple. Walking three dogs at heel is no longer a nightmare but now an enjoyable experience.
