Tour Guide

Description

Sea kayak guided trips around the Isle of Islay, Scotland.
Wildlife and environmentally friendly paddles accessing the amazing coastline and stunning beaches.
Even visit a whisky distillery from the sea if you fancy! Guided sea kayak trips around Islay, mostly on the southern shores from Port Ellen along past Ardbeg.  Ample sheltered spots as well as some more challenging elements, enough for most tastes and experience levels.
We aim to combine a relaxing tour enabling you to see Islay from a different angle and to appreciate the amazing coastline and the view across to Kintrye, Arran and Ireland (at times - can't always see that far!!!!).
Kayaking allows an almost silent approach to wildlife and the possibilities include seals, the many sea birds and an occasional glimpse of the elusive otter.  Further out dolphins and porpoise along with basking sharks have been seen.
Oh and who could forget the 3 distilleries along the way, what a way to sample a dram by kayaking there first!
We aim to tailor the trip to you own requirements and unless specifically requested we don't combine parties to enable a more specific trip to suit your needs.

We are delighted to announce that Kayak Wild Islay has been recognized with a 2017 Certificate of Excellence, based on the consistently great reviews earned on TripAdvisor, but don't take our word for it, book your own kayak trip soon as the diary is filling up for the summer. Please note we are away from tomorrow for a weeks guiding in Sweden so won't be able to respond immediately so will try to catch up when we get back at the beginning of July. Thanks again everyone for the great reviews, we aim to tailor every trip to suit you but the flapjack or a wee dram help!
