Well worth a visit to Dunkeld Butchers - recently taken over by Manur Kara and his wife. Manur used to be the Executive Chef at Fonab Castle in Pitlochry and grew up working in his family's Butchers shops. I know what I'm getting for my supper tomorrow night!

Busy morning this morning preparing a business lunch for 30 people for a local Pitlochry company. Muhammara A lovely vibrant warming dip made from roasted red peppers, toasted walnuts and pomegranate molasses served with homemade thin and crispy poppy seed pasta bread. “Beat the Goat” Beetroot, Goats Cheese, and Balsamic Onion Quiche Cheesy Piggy Leek” Ham, Leek & Isle of Mull Cheddar Quiche “Drunken Eggs” Homemade Venison & Juniper Scotch Eggs with a Sloe Gin Dunking Dip. “Winter Slaw” A lovely combination of crunchy winter vegetables with a healthy yogurt dressing “Happy Carrot Salad” A wee something to brighten up these horrible winter days! “Quacky Mess” Homemade meringues made from our own duck eggs mixed with home-grown black and redcurrants and whipped cream.
