Rotary Shop, Penzance
Description
We sell a vast range of items donated from the community. Money raised is donated to local charities. Staff are volunteers so more can go to good causes. The shop sells and recycles donations from the community and distributes the proceeds to local charities and causes.
Shoppers are welcome, so are donations that we can sell in the store.
The shop is run entirely by volunteers to enable as much as possible to returned to good causes.
Come in and have a chat or to buy, to donate or offer help.
The premises have an interesting history, Sir Humphry Davy worked here before his new job of standing just over the road. He was apprentice apothecary in the building from 1778 to 1798.

“Support” our bra bank In the shop we have a bra bank from the charity Against Breast Cancer. (Located between the haberdashery shelves and the till on the left hand side of the shop). All unwanted and unloved bras that are deposited in the bra bank are either recycled or sent to Toga, Ghana and Kenya. Here bras remain too expensive to produce locally so their sales help “support” local small businesses. Bras unsuitable for resale are responsibly recycled to prevent them going into landfill. For every tonne of bras collected Against Breast Cancer receives £700 to fund research. With over 30 million women in the UK, you could really help make a difference! In less than a year our bank has collected over 800 bras. Thank you ladies, keep padding out our collection.
