Dear all An email to say a huge thank you to all those who supported and helped to organise our Jazz Evening on 23rd July. Alas I was in Spain but I have it on good authority that a lovely time was had by all and we managed to raise nearly £300 for the Help Scheme which is fantastic. An extra big thank you goes to all those involved in helping out on the day and disseminating posters. With many thanks and best wishes Helen

Last reminder for the Ottery Help Scheme Jazz Concert tonight at 6.30pm at The Tumbling Weir. Don't worry about the weather it's going to be fine with sunny spells this evening. We have a Marquee in the garden, (thank you to Tony Pugh, Tom Robinson, John Ratcliffe and Lui Mason for your help in putting it up) and we have the indoor dining area at the Tumbling Weir for those who want to be inside and/dance to the music.

This Sunday is the Annual Concert to raise some funds for Ottery Help Scheme. Ottery Help Scheme is your local Charity which does so much for the people of Ottery. Please come along and support us. We are in the beautiful gardens of the Tumbling Weir Hotel, courtesy of Paul and Lyn Thurgate, who provide their facilities for this wonderful evening. This year we have Maggie Reeday with Craig Milverton on Piano, Kevin Sanders on Bass and Coach York on Drums. Maggie Reeday is a fine singer of jazz standards who really swings. Maggie has has had a long and varied career. Starting out as a resident singer with a local band she later appeared in a succession of shows for ITV, alongside household names such as Paul Daniels, Jim Davidson and Atomic Kitten amongst others, has performed at a Royal Variety show for the Queen Mother at the London Palladium. She will be performing some of the great Jazz and Swing standards and it promises to be an evening to remember.

A massive thank you to all those who helped out at Cadhay yesterday and also to those who worked behind the scenes in the run up to the day. I think it's safe to say that lots of children (and grown ups) and a great deal of fun and we were extremely fortunate to avoid the torrential rain which came in at the end of the event(!) Now the bit you've been waiting for....overall takings were approximately £1,500 which is a fantastic amount, making all the effort worthwhile! Thank you again to everyone who worked so hard to make the event such a success. We will of course be passing on our sincere thanks to Rupert, the owner of Cadhay, for so generously sharing his stunning grounds, and to the rest of the Cadhay team. With many thanks and best wishes Helen Helen Harms Chief Officer
