The beauty of an open mic night, you get to hear some amazing musicians. Just been blown away by the talent of an 18 year old. So good in fact, I'm going to be hiring her for a Saturday night slot. Look out for Alex Strickland Music, she'll be on very soon and you need to hear her voice.

My new years resolution is to keep building on the music in the bar. This Thursday sees the return of the weekly open mic. Hosted by one of our favourites, the grunge blues king Paul McHale. Just had a conversation with another local musician about coming down. There could be some serious talent in the room this Thursday. You'd hate to miss this.

Another weekend, another great line up of music. This afternoon we have one of our favourites, Tim Wright with his laid back guitar, perfect to sing along to (which I do often.) Then Bamhoot Music from 7 to keep it flying. Tomorrow afternoon sees Tim back for his Sunday residency, The Sunday Blues. As well as this I'm putting the final touches to a few bigger musical events coming up this year. Going to make this the number one music venue in the area, with the talent we have round here that shouldn't be hard.
