Description
A village store and Post Office in the Heart of Bridestowe village, covering Bridestowe, Sourton, Lydford and the surrounding area. Riverside Stores & Post Office is owned and operated by David and Kris Atherley-Hewings.
They took over Riverside from the previous owners in June 2013 and have since introduced a tea garden and fully refurbished both inside and outside the stores. Come and see what we've done!

Good Morning Due to essential maintenance on the postoffice and shops electrical supply the shop will have intermittent power tomorrow morning. Tuesday 27th March. We don't have an exact time, but will be given an hours notice for the outage to occur. During this time we will be unable to process transactions on both the postoffice and shop tills. Therefore the shop will be closed during the outage for a short period of time. I will update this page as we get more information nearer the time. We appreciate, in advance, your patience in this. Good evening all. Some money has been found outside of the post office this evening 21 st March, between 17:15 and 17:45. If this is yours please call in with ID. Good morning All papers have arrived for shop collection. Our drivers will attempt deliveries later in the day roads and access depending. We have had no milk and sticks are low. Kind regards Colin & Michaela
Further to our last post; All deliveries are cancelled. No papers or milk will be delivered but we do have small selection available. We will be open for Sunday opening hours tomorrow. 09:00 - 16:00 Monday 19th March. Please do not take unnecessary risks on the roads. Access to the shop will be cleared but do take care. Due the severe weather we are currently having, it is expected that we will not receive papers or milk in the morning. We are also most likely to cancel the drivers for our deliveries tomorrow for their own safety. A further update will be posted later this evening and again in the morning. Good morning all A sense of normality has finally arrived after our artic winter.... All fresh veg & fruit stocks have arrived. Milk, eggs, bread and paper deliveries are all back to normal and our shelves are once again stocked. General groceries and home foods order being placed today for our usual Wednesday delivery. Michaela is busy making up the veg boxes that we were unable to deliver on Saturday so they should be with you soon. Roll on spring.....
