Horse Channel

Always! If you have just worked your horse, sponge them off if they are sweaty, rug them accordingly and make sure they are comfortable with access to clean, fresh water and forage. Then do whatever it is that you need to do for yourself!

Here are a few photos I took yesterday while I was teaching, the lovely school is just on the outskirts of Holsworthy and is available to hire for private lessons or clinics. As the winter draws in it is nice to have such a lovely surface available to ride on if you do not have a school at home! Please drop me a line if you are interested in arranging a lesson or would like to book the school. Very soon there will also be some jumps available too.

** STAGE ONE STABLE MANAGEMENT TRAINING ** I have two dates booked for BHS Stage One Stable Management training, Monday 10th October 2.30 - 4.30 and Tuesday 11th October 10.30 - 12.30. Both sessions are at my yard near Bratton Clovelly and the cost is £20 per session per person or £30 for both sessions. I hope to cover a large amount of the exam syllabus subject matter during these sessions. Everyone welcome even if you are not looking to take the exam and just want to brush up on your stable management knowledge and skills. Please contact me for further details. I am planning to organise some group lessons for less confident riders, I would like to try to encourage the people who often look at my posts about clinics and think "Oh I would love to do that but she won't want to teach somebody like me" or "I can't do that, I am not good enough" ... I am very happy teaching riders of all levels and abilities and don't want people to ever feel like there is nothing available for them to join in with. Please let me know if you would be interested in coming along and joining in a group with other riders of a similar ability and having a bit of fun and learning something new along the way. Once I know what interest I have I will make steps to arrange something in a suitable location on a time and day that suits everyone. Please don't be shy. Please P.M me to discuss your requirements.

** FLATWORK CLINIC ** Friday 30th September at 3.30 for an hour in Holsworthy. The yard is just on the outskirts of town and has good access for trailers and lorries. (Trailers can go in one gate and out another so no need to turn around) This is a themed clinic, the topic is "Introduction to Dressage" and I can cater for up to 4 riders, the cost will depend on the number of riders and will include the school hire charge. It is aimed mainly at less experienced rider/ horse combinations who are looking at giving dressage a try for the first time so please don't be shy if you are nervous or inexperienced.
