ADAC Trentino Classic 2016

One of our team is lucky enough to be in Lake Garda on their hol's. They happened across this Classic Car Rally in Riva. Lucky find we say! Some stunning cars in an equally stunning location. Apparantly every car had a numbered oil drip mat, that they have to put under the engine, in case they drop oil on the town courtyard! Mark from our sales team headed off this weekend to the Grill-N-Chill show. The idea was to show off the giveaway Variant and give fellow show goers the chance to enter the draw. We love to see the parts and accessories that we send out to customers actually on the vehicles. We're lucky that many of you are keen to share with us. We loved these pictures from Harm at Poptop campers. He kindly sent us some background on the bus too! "We bought the van last year by coincidence, it was for sale down the street were we are located with our company. The guy who sold it to us bought it in Greece just to have something back on a delivery of used Mitsubishi trucks to Greece. The panel looked terrible with lots of dents and plaster, and probably 5 layers of thick white paint. but due the nice dry Greece climate it was not very rusty. After sanding it down we saw the dove blue original paint, but we also realised that a full restoration wasn't possible. So we chose to make it a rat look van. The theme of the van was an easy choice. We are specialized in Westfalia campervans, so we took the 1975 Westfalia logo as a starting point. The result is a fun panel, that looks like it was a Westfalia company van back in 75, and was worn by time. With (for now) its original 1600 engine that looks awful, but runs great. We fitted a New adjustable and narrowed frontbeam, new adjustable suspension on the rear axel, and renewed all the brake parts and steering and suspension parts. And of course, a good rat look has nice and shiny wheels, and that's where you came in! We are going to keep this van as a company mascot, next to our 79 Westfalia Berlin which is in mint condition, we will visit some events her in the Netherlands, first one upcoming weekend. We work day in day out with recent Westfalia campervans, Like the VW California and Mercedes Marco polo. We buy, and sell, do the maintenance, and we have a accessories (web)shop When we have the chance we are happy to buy nice classics, such as T2 and t25 westfalias. To bring some colour in our showroom!"
