I've had this idea for many years of going to America and Canada to play my fiddle and make baskets... soooo I'm going to rent out my house for 5 weeks to help finance my trip. Please let folk know if they want to stay on Mull for next summer they could live at my place... it's out there now lets see what happens x

Easter is upon us and what wonderful weather we have been having. Lots of bulbs out in the garden which makes you feel that winter and all that awful weather is behind us. I've started digging over the raised beds getting them ready for lots of veg and salads for the summer (slugs beat me to them last year). All the willow is cut and the living fences and bowers all repaired from the strong winds. The new shower room is slowly making progress and hopefully be completed by the end of April (fingers crossed) I might have a ribbon cutting ceremony!!!!! to celebrate.... all welcome but bring your own towels xx

The 'season' seems to get earlier and earlier, just had my first guest this week. Some new changes in the house. Wallpaper for example. Jim from Iona put up my 'flying ducks' paper in the living room and I'm very please with the result. The dining room has some lovely 'fern' patterened paper which looks very smart. I'd painted the window sill but unfortunately it's a favourite spot for the cats to sit on, and now I have a set of paw prints set in the paint work!!!! A new shower room is being constructed but just found out Home Base had ordered the wrong shower cubicle!!! Hopefully to be sorted out on Monday, hey ho, all part of life's rich taperstry x

Belated Happy New Year, my son came for a visit over the festive period and chopped lots of wood for me, so I've been very cosy with the woodburner on. He also knocked down one of my old sheds. The garden looks like Steptoes yard now!!!!! just waiting for a break in the weather (ha) to start clearing up the mountains of wood and 'stuff' once stored in the now deceased shed.

Weather changeable again but aren't the autumn colours beautiful. makes you want to walk for miles, eat hearty fare and quaf glasses of red wine by a roaring fire. Even cobwebs and old sheds look good in the sunshine.
