Another Golf mk5 GTI ko3 to Ko4 conversion custom tuning session finished this week. The advantage this on had was a fresh build CDL engine. Tuned this pocket rocket to offer a nice wide flat torque band because we struggled to push the power at the top end, this was due to the hardware not being the best most efficient flowing. On the road it's an absolute beast, relentless amount or performance instantly on-demand. Additional features,. NLS - hard cut rev limiter - TIV™ mapping- multiple boost maps switching and......a little bit of chav mode with over run added..🤣... because we are all big kids inside.

Mk5 GTI 6MT AXX with forged bottom end - ko4 conversion - S3 fmic - full turbo back exhaust and usual supporting hardware. 360hp 390lbft with asbo over run mapping and NLS to offer full throttle gear changes.

Planning on getting a new car? This has to be on of the most underrated cars we see, but it has to be one of the best cars to tune to stage 1. This A3 Quattro 2.0 TSI with tiny IHI turbo hooked up to a DSG box is out standing at stage 1 high torque mapping. No worries about clutch slip now worries about pointless torque and wheel spin. Stage 1 we can really exploit the torque band. Short shifting up the box it will upset a Stage 2+ S3 owner.. j

Stage 1 with pre cat mod Scirocco TSI DSG. Customer asked for non aggressive torque, so we tuned with progressive control via pedal, and gave a wot torque band which is flat offering lots of volume under the curve. At the same time having power on-demand. The tiny IHI turbo on these engines are torque hungry, they love to spool fast and can offer massive torque if needed. Most cases its about tuning with common sense and trying to get the best balance so the power is fun via the front wheels not pointless.

Mk5 GTi BWA came in to have stage 1 custom tuning session. Unknown to the customer the car had been previously mapped. The fuel tank was filled with a mixture of 99 and 95ron fuel, which was seriously effecting the performance potential causing the engine to become knock limited on power at this level of tuning. The old map was knocking it's tits off, so we knew that the car would not see the best stage 1 numbers. It was a tuning session to find the Knock window and setup up the tuning to avoid it offering a safe window. As usual we still managed to improve the performance and offer a much smoother power output over the old unknown map. Power is solely down to the car not the mapping, a map cannot over come physical limitations.. unfortunately the tuning industry is full of sales crap and tuner would rather give falsely inflated numbers to keep their customers happy and so they don't look like they are lacking behind other tuners. There is no black magic tuning, just safe common sense tuning. Our quotation on power gains is. "You get what the car what's to give, the map will only complement your engines potential".

Audi S3 8L 1.8T fully forged with B5 AET k04 hybrid package came on for a comparison power run. Customer said it was a 348hp... Absolutely bang on the money.

Edition 30 6MT in for stage 1 custom remap session. Pre cat mod - performance filter - new plugs and coil packs. very decent gains across the entire rpm range over stock. Customer came back from test drive grinning ear to ear.. the true measure of tuning.

Mk5 Golf Edition 30 DSG in for stage 2 tuning. Running stock air box with performance down pipe system. Unknown to the customer the car had previously been turned as someone point, this was causing the dsg TCU to tell the engine ECU to ditch torque, this would be the reason the customer said that the car felt like it was pulsing on off under load. Post tuning back to back a much better smooooother graph with the added bonus of more Performance on tap under the curves. Also had DSG TCU calibrations to match the engine output.
