Description
Nottingham Area Bus Society (NABS) Is a group of volunteers who restore and display historic vehicles.
We are part of Great Central Railway, Nottingham. We can be found at Ruddington On Mere Way, just off the A60 south of Ruddington. SatNav:NG11 6JS. Car Parking available.
By Public Transport:
Our main base of operations is adjacent to the Rushcliffe Country Park, and the Ruddington Fields Business Park. Buses serve both Ruddington Village and the Business Park from Nottingham City Centre.
Trent Barton operate the "Ruddington Connection" offering services from the City to Ruddington Fields - just outside our main Ruddington Site.
On Sundays, the "Ruddington Connection" serves "The Green" in Ruddington village. Our Station can be reached from "The Green" on foot by proceeding along Asher Lane, turning left into Ruddington Country Park and following the path across the railway footbridge and through the carpark to our entrance. Walking time approx 10-15 minutes.
Rushcliffe Halt Station is immediately adjacent to bus stops served by the NCT No1 Service between Nottingham and Loughborough.

facebook.comA couple of our vehicles (and drivers) spent an enjoyable few hours driving the Long Eaton to Chiwell and Beeston routes recently and were joined along the way by Barton owned AEC Reliance. Plaxton/Leopard XRR 615M (1286), Northern Counties/Regent 854 FNN (854) and Plaxton/Reliance 866 HAL (866) bought some delight and confusion to the shoppers.

We will be missing from Ruddington on Sunday as we all deserve an 'away day' so come and see us at Ilkeston where the buses will stand once again on the market.

This past week has seen a massive stride forward with regard to the bus building extension with the digging of the footings however, I think we are all suffering from the spade work of wet clay now! Good job we had the excellent toy train sets to take our minds off the aches!
