Hi My name is Ian, I first started learn electronics in the mid 1970`s.
My passion is Vinyl records of the 1950`s - 60`s and record players.
It always give me great joy when I restore a record player from a wreck back to a beautiful working machine in perfect condition.
I believe you cannot beat the warm sound from a vinyl record.

Vintage 1950`s Pilot "Encore" Valve Record Player For Sale at £110 The Garrard fully Automatic Turntable has been cleaned, Re-lubricated and Adjusted All the old Wax Capacitors and Electrolytic capacitors have been replaced The tone arm is fitted with the Original Ronette Mono Crystal Cartridge with excellent output, fitted with a stereo stylus on one side a a 78 stylus on the other side This turntable stacks about 6 records at a time and can play any-size record up-to 12" wide as it feels the record size before playing it. This plays 16, 33/3, 45 and 78 rpm records The record player takes about a couple of minutes to warm up and has a pleasant hum from the valves output is very good with plenty of loudness. minor points: There is a very small hole in the grill, Few marks around the case and part of the tone arm/ control arm has been painted black, not by me as this how it was when i got it.

Restored!!!!! 1955 PYE Black Box BB/H This did look very sorry for it self when in came into my workshop, all the polish was coming off!! exposing the bear wood so i had the case re-polished by a professional French polisher and it now looks Fab!! The Turntable has been serviced and is in perfect working condition The amp has been fully checked over and any out of spec components have been replaced with new ones. ACOS GP91 cartridge is fitted and will play mono or stereo records safely with mono output A new mains lead and plug correctly fused at 3amp has been fitted. The volume & tone controls have been cleaned so as to function with no nasty crackling noises at all. This has a BSR UA6 fully automatic Turntable and will stack approx 10 records at a time This will play your singles (45`s), Lp`s (33/3) and your 10" (78`s) This has two speakers one on the left side and one on the right side This is a Mono record player but it will play your stereo records nicely Not only does it looks Stunning but is also Sounds Absolutely Fabulous!!!! & will look Great in any Home!!!! this is for sale at £250

Fantastic 1950`s Dansette Major Valve Record Player Valve: EL84 Sound Output: Mono The Turntable fitted is a BSR UA8 which is a Fully Automatic Turntable and has been properly serviced, Linkages,Bearings, Cam etc... Striped, Cleaned, re-lubricated & Adjusted The Large Oval Speaker is located behind the Front grill Plays 16,33 (LP`s),45 (Singles) and 78`s Records Stacks up to 6 records at a time It is fitted with the original Acos GP-61 cartridge Mono cartridge This Record Player is about 60 years old and the electronic components have done well considering age but they where never designed to last this long and this is why I rebuild the Amplifier with New high quality components Capacitors and resistors etc.. and it should last another 60 years Switches and controls have been cleaned so there is no crackles New mains lead and 3 amp fuse plug fitted Controls for the Amplifier are On/Vol/Off and Tone Condition of the case overall Is excellent with a few very minor marks and has not been recovered or painted in any way Sounds Superb with ample Volume Asking price for this is £300

1971 ITT KP820 Stereo Transistor record player, Fully Serviced ITT Stereo Transistor record player Mono Valve Record Player In Fantastic Condition Model: KP820 This is a Another nice example of the light weight record player Which the lid also detaches to become the speakers This Player gives quite a nice Sound for such a small machine Portable & Light Weight Colour: Black and wood effect on plastic Fully Automatic Turntable fitted Plays 7" Singles, 10" and 12" LP`s Speeds are 33,45 & 78 RPM Controls are a simple On/Vol/off , Balance, Treble and Bass Mains powered Fitted with a BSR stereo Cartridge which is giving excellent output This record player has been Serviced, Cleaned and adjusted to give many more years of life The controls have been cleaned to insure perfect operation Modern mains plug with 3amp fuse It is now in perfect working Order and Sounds very good There is 2 small holes at the rear of the case where its been chipped in the past (see Photos) but this does not affect the performance or the sturdiness of it in any way Dimensions (WHD) 342 x 166 x 285 mm AC / 200-240 Volt Record deck is the BSR C136 with a BSR SX6M cartridge and ST12 sapphire stylus External speakers, 15 ohm minimum. Vintage Philips (Boots Branded) Stereo Record Player Model no. 604 Lightweight portable record player This has been very carefully looked after as its in Fantastic condition Throughout Speeds are 33,45 and 78 Rpm 2 Speakers which also form the lid The mains lead and plug tuck away neatly underneath when not in use

Vintage Telefunken Musikus 504 Stereo Turntable Made in Germany 1964/65 Fully automatic turntable that will enable you to stack your records that you wish to play a short stuble spindle is also included for playing record one at a time Speeds are 16, 33, 45 and 78 RPM Audio Output is via a 5 pin din plug I have just replaced the cartridge, If you want the old Telefunken T22 Cartridge with the bracket (which had no output) just let me know Dimensions (WHD) 389 x 175 x 358 mm, Net weight 7 kg, (AC) / 220 Volt This does require a Amplifier & Speakers to funtion All Good Working Order
