Welcome to our page. We are a part of Wyevale Garden Centres, bringing joy and inspiration to everyone's garden. Built in 1975 on land owned by the Gurney family, Sprowston Garden Centre was initially run by family member, Simon MacFarlane, whose horticultural experience was minimal, but whose business acumen was considerable! He soon learnt the trade, developing a thriving house plant department, which still outperforms many larger garden centres, as well as an 'interior landscaping' business that leased exotic specimen plants to offices, shops and hotels.
Surrounded by beautiful countryside and within easy reach of Norwich, this popular centre now stocks a competitive array of plants, shrubs and trees and is run by a friendly and enthusiastic team. Every member has a wealth of gardening expertise they love to share with customers and loyalty remains absolutely key - in fact the horticultural manager has just clocked up more than three decades at the centre!
Whilst plants and gardening remain the primary focus, the centre also sells gifts and cards and has a great cafe serving delicious snacks and light lunches. With an outside seating area, it's the ideal spot in which to relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. The centre's links with the local community are exceptional, and the cafe is the venue for many a local business meeting!
