www.thejoshuatree.org.uk The Joshua Tree is a children's charity based in Cheshire, UK. We aim to provide families of children with cancer support and care and we currently support families from across the North West of England at our interim The Joshua Tree Family Support Centre in Northwich, Cheshire.
This is a much needed service for children with cancer and leukaemia, and their families. The service is aimed at those living with and beyond cancer.
Every child and family’s experience and needs are unique and we aim to work with families and their schools to provide support that is tailored to their needs. The service provides emotional, educational, practical support and signposting, as well as acting as an advocate for the child and their family when needed. We have a fully trained counsellor who can offer one-to-one support and we hold regular drop-in sessions and focused workshops on a needs led basis.
Our aim is to give families who have a child with cancer a free, fun break and support from others who are in similar situations by building a fit for purpose support centre in Sandiway. We have bought the land and got full planning permission and groundwork has started on site. We are currently fundraising and raising awareness of the charity to be able to start the build in the very near future.
