Afternoon All. For those that don't know.... Since February 2018 I have been looking for a provider of Garage Management Software that dots a number i's and crosses the t's for our clients that attend our business development programs. For over a year I've been working behind the scenes with Alex Lindley (pictured below) discovering more about Garage Hive and all it has to offer. It's been very interesting to see the software being installed into businesses that are on the Auto iQ Accelerator program. It's given me a great insight both into Garage Hive as a product as well as a company and how they look after their clients. And boy do they look after their clients. I'm not a hands on user of the Software but what I do know is that it gives me the numbers I need to help out those that we support and lets me ask the right questions to quickly find solutions. Quite simply it gives me the data to help drive their businesses forward. Better than that it automates it so it's available at the touch of a button! So...... If you want to have the data to help make the right decisions in your business and your current GMS doesn't give you that then Garage Hive should be on your shortlist. Also.... For those of you here that are on Accelerator you'll soon have access to the Auto iQ dataset in Power Bi which means an even swifter resolution to any discussions re your numbers. It's all very exciting!

I'm not a hands on user of the Software but what I do know is that it gives me the numbers I need to help out those that we support and lets me ask the right questions to quickly find solutions.

Quite simply it gives me the data to help drive their businesses forward.

Better than that it automates it so it's available at the touch of a button!

So......

If you want to have the data to help make the right decisions in your business and your current GMS doesn't give you that then Garage Hive should be on your shortlist.

Can your new customers tell how your garage is different to your competitors? It's crucial to your success to be able to separate your business from those that carry out similar services to yours. Failing to do this effectively means you may well have to compete on price, speed or convenience. Not good! The packets pf biscuits typify some garages in our industry. The "Tower Gate" pack are significantly cheaper (Aldi) than the McVities but faced with the two options the purchaser has no way of discerning the difference so in most cases will just buy the cheaper option. So.... Question for you... What do you do in your business that truly differentiates you from your competition, and how do you communicate this to your clients in your marketing?

All the lads on the course thought it was a really cool tool. Thanks to Tommy Forest for sending this our way. I’ll be putting it through its paces on some of our other courses to see how it goes. Morning All 12 Weeks ago eight intrepid business owners embarked on a journey (teh Auto iQ business development program) to move their businesses forward. Yesterday we were back at HQ looking at the progress that had been made and setting our objectives to be attained in the next 90 days. Great progress has been made with a few revelations along the way.... My favourite of the day is how we removed a skilled tech from the workshop, placed him in the front of house role and profits have increased substantially!! That was a huge leap of faith on their part but it worked so well done to you! :-) Something for those looking on to ponder on..... Understandably moving your business forwards has humps in the road. Getting over these can be a challenge if you're doing it on your own. Working with us as well as like-minded garage owners on a regular basis is not only group therapy, but keeps you focused and your business moving forward consistently. Add to this that lifting your head up and getting out of your garage environment to meet as a group every 3 months pays huge dividends. Yesterday was a "reset" for many and everyone left ready to "go again" towards building a garage business that would give them the lives they wanted. Some of them even signed up to our a newly launched service FIMAC (Foot In My Arse Club). Which will be interesting :-) Can't wait to see their progress in the coming days and weeks! Accurate diagnosis is all about knowing what tests to do and what the answers should be. We've had two great days looking at engine management and where 4 Gas Analysis fits into the puzzle. Everyone's learned a lot, smiled a lot and eaten an awful lot of cakes :-) Thanks for a really enjoyable course chaps!
