Newly-refurbished Sports Bar based in Northampton The Penny Whistle will be returning under new ownership in Autumn 2015.

An extensive refurb will help breathe new life into the popular bar, with modern features being introduced to refresh the venue and bring it up to date.

With a heavy focus on sport, The Penny Whistle will feature action from The Premier League, UEFA Champions League, Championship, and all other football competitions including the upcoming EURO 2016 tournament.

A wide array of sporting action will be presented - including rugby, cricket and Formula One, as well as popular American sports; with coverage of NFL, NBA and NHL also added to the line-up.

Acknowledging the popularity of WWE, The Penny Whistle also will return to showing special events such as Royal Rumble, WrestleMania, SummerSlam and Survivor Series.

A brand new range of craft ales, lagers, ciders, cocktails, wines and spirits will be introduced - and as part of the refurbishment of the venue, new beer lines will be installed to ensure drinks are served to the highest quality.

An overhaul of the menu sees the return of many old favourites being joined by a selection of exciting new products that lead with a focus on handfood, sharers and platters to encourage a laid-back atmosphere in which to enjoy food with friends.

A new line-up of weekly events retain the ever-popular Friday night Quids offer, while adding the soon-to-be-announced Saturday night promotion that promises to be hectic. As an ackowledgement to the history of the venue, previously popular midweek events from years gone by will be revamped and make a return in 2015.
