Sadly a cyclist has died following this afternoon's crash on the Newtownards Road near Conlig. A car was in collision with several cyclists around 2pm. Seven emergency vehicles attended the scene and two more people are being treated in hospital. Our thoughts with the family...

Update on the Scrabo Tower situation - now confirmed the tower will be opening from Friday, July 7th after the completion of pre-opening works.

There's been a partial building collapse at High Street in Donaghadee. Police and services on the scene now and the road is likely to be closed. No reports of any injuries yet but it seems several cars could have been extensively damaged...
Scrabo Tower will remain closed for the foreseeable future after plans to reopen the famous visitor attraction were unexpectedly cancelled... The tower closed its doors to the public in 2014 but had been due to reopen tomorrow (Friday). Now the Department for Communities has announced on twitter that 'due to unforeseen circumstances' the landmark would not open as planned...
