Addison's Lamb
Description
We aim to produce highest quality lamb reared extensively to the highest welfare standards in and around Newport Pagnell. Addison's Lamb is owned by Tom Addison. Tom is a young farmer who began farming in May 2012, starting out with a flock of 40 North Country Mule x Texel ewes. The ewes were put to Tom's pedigree Charollais ram (Mortimer to his friends), which provided a very successful lambing season in April 2014. From here Tom hopes to increase the numbers in his flock and to establish himself as a quality local lamb producer. Tom's aim is to provide great quality meat, raised with the highest of welfare standards and the lowest food miles possible.
This summer Tom was very proud and honoured to have been selected as one of the 3 finalists in BBC Countryfile's Young Farmer of the Year Award 2017.
