Newlyn Fish Market rebuild is in full swing at last. Albeit I have previously stated that the Market Access Road will remain open for another week, today I have had to close it up. Contractors and removal of old fridges has pushed for the road to be closed for everyone's safety. I hope this will be of limited inconvenience for you all but safety comes first. Exciting times here at Newlyn, I will keep you posted on progress. RP

Dear all, Looking at the forecast please ensure all vessels have sufficient lines for the weekend. Strong SSW winds becoming Southerly from Saturday night through to Sunday morning may cause some issues if not properly moored. Many Thanks, RP

Apologies I have not been on social media recently but the acceptance and following media interest has kept us all busy here at Newlyn. Once confirmed key dates will be passed and don't forget to tune into BBC Cornwall Tuesdays where we will try and keep you all up to date.

An important day for Newlyn! Today I have received the keys for Barron's Newsagent, which is sad for Newlyn as Mr Barron is one of the most pleasant gentlemen you will ever meet in your life and the newsagent shop was the heart of the village. I am blessed to have been part of his shop's story, albeit very small and I wish David the very best for his retirement. I am however pleased to hear that he will be giving his time to assist in the Newlyn Archive, which if you don't know already is Ron and his squad based at the ground floor of the Admiralty Boat House. Good Luck David and enjoy the Whiskey! RP

If any customer needs to leave gear please place on a pallet (if possible) and inform the office. We will then store for you on our racking.
