Everyone learns in different ways so, if after an initial session we agree between us that I can help, then further sessions will be tailored specifically to the learning style that best suits your child. Although I have a degree in Business Systems and IT I am not a qualified teacher. I started a PGCE but decided that I didn't want to be a qualified teacher and would work in the cover and support side instead. At the moment I am on supply with a number of agencies whilst searching and applying for permanent jobs in schools. I've been doing home tutoring for over 5 years and there are a number of references you can find in the 'Review' section of this page and below. I am fully DBS checked (what was CRB) and will always have my qualifications and DBS certificate available for you to check. I love what I do and I always hope my enthusiasm is something that will help whoever I'm tutoring. It's not for everyone though so if I think that I'm not a suitable tutor for you or your child, or I don't think they need tutoring at all, I'll tell you. I rely on goodwill and word of mouth recommendations so I won't waste anyone's time or money if I think that would be the case.
