Founded in 1898 and designed by H Colt and J Braid, Northumberland Golf Club is a long established traditional golf club on the outskirts of Newcastle.
Club website - http://www.thengc.co.uk/ The Northumberland Golf Club is a long established traditional golf club, designed by H S Colt and James Braid and worthy of its position as a Regional Open Qualifying Course since 2013. Situated on the outskirts of Newcastle with fantastic transport links makes visiting us easy. We are privileged to have a great golf 18-hole course, with modern clubhouse facilities that combine the best of tradition with a firm eye on the future. To visitors: I doubt you will find a more enjoyable example of a heathland course in the North of England. Couple this with, the fact that you are playing over and beside the Racecourse makes the whole experience memorable. This is not one of those forgettable courses where you struggle to distinguish one hole from another. Nor is it an unrelenting slog - tactical golf is required, typical of its designers.
