You can't see the wood, 'til we cut the trees. Kev did his training as an apprentice cabinet maker and boat builder at Camel Laird in Birkenhead, fitting out some fabulous liners. He has run his own business for the past 30 years, making fabulous furniture.

Kev now buys the timber 'in the round' and then has it brought to the yard, where he uses his timber mill to convert the wood into planks. The wood is then kilned, before being stacked and stored ready for the next project. Our wood does not travel very far at all, and so is very green (pardon the pun!). Most of our wood comes from Levens Hall, and Kev could generally tell you exactly where the tree stood.

So, if you have an idea in your head, then come along and have a chat, the work that Kev does is outstanding, when he makes something it becomes a family heirloom, none of this flat packed stuff!!
