Well done to our intrepid marathon runners who completed the relay marathon in a little over 4 hours 35 mins! Thank you so much to the communities of Newburgh and Abernethy who have so generously supported and sponsored our wee team. We've smashed our fund raising target and there's still money to be collected and counted. We're grateful for every donation and every wee word of support and encouragement we've received over the past few days and weeks. Thank you all. https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/newburghgps

How does your weekly drinking add up? The Count 14 campaign is about making us all aware of the UK Chief Medical Officers’ recommendation that sticking to a maximum of 14 units of alcohol per week, spread out over at least 3 days, can reduce the risk of developing health issues. That’s 6 glasses of wine (13% ABV), 7 double measures of spirits (40% ABV), or 6 pints of beer (4% ABV). To help you keep track of your weekly alcohol intake, the Scottish Government and NHS Scotland have launched the ‘Count14’ campaign. To find out more, and see how your units add up using a quick and easy alcohol calculator, visit www.count14.scot
Just a wee reminder that the practice will be closed this coming Monday 6th of May for the May day bank holiday.
We're getting a new phone system installed today! Hopefully there will be no disruption to service but do bear with us if you experience any wee problems while we're getting to grips with it, most likely over lunchtime. As always, in the case of an emergency call 999.
