Hi Regents Perk Customers, as you may know Barony Lodge has taken in Beechmere residents and needs underwear, both male and female, large and small and inbetween, and lots of it! Some have requested bibles too. They have another 14 residents from Beechmere coming in at the weekend. It would be wonderful if we could help. We are collecting at reception on site today and tomorrow. These people have been left with only the clothes they stand up in due to these terrible circumstances.Thank you for any help you can give.

FINAL UPDATE FROM MICHELLE & BREN FROM LAST SATURDAY: "Day 6, Two Saints Way. We did it, our 92 mile walk! Finishing about 17:30 Saturday, after a very, very wet day. We had been promised a 50% chance of rain, which turned to 80% and then 100% full on monsoon for about 6 hrs. This made the walk through Cannock Chase demanding and into Lichfield. We were fairly wet when we stopped after 3.5 miles for a cream tea at 10:00, early I know. We kept going until Chorley where we took a break for some lunch about 14:00. We were utterly soaked through. Thankfully the hand-dryer helped dry us off a little bit and we had a change of clothes to warm us up a bit for the final 4 miles or so. It felt so good to get to Lichfied and then to our final destination St Chads well for a final prayer. Thanks for your encouragement and for the sponsorship. Every penny given will be going to the building of an ark our church cafe garden (Regents Perk) at Regents Park. We hope it will be built and open ready for next spring." UPDATE FROM BREN & MICHELLLE ABOUT YESTERDAY: "Day 5, Two Saints Way... Thanks for your encouraging messages and texts with them we gave travelled a long way over 75 miles from Chester to Cannock Chase. Walking through Stafford today brought back some wonderful memories of commuting, and great colleagues. Final day tomorrow as we head for Lichfield! Today's highlight was seeing many thirsty cows, plus a few bulls make a run for the river! Especially good to survive the experience given the intense focus of a few bulls and our proximity. The low was the sewage plant - especially pungent! Thanks to all sponsoring online or on the paper forms at Regents Park and Nantwich Elim. Raising funds to improve the outside play area at our cafe at Regents Park for local families to enjoy. Still time if you haven't had a chance yet visit Regents Perk Cafe for details." https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/RegentsPerkCafe

UPDATE FROM MICHELLE & BREN ABOUT DAY 4: "Day 4 Two Saints Way Started Festival Park, Stoke on Trent headed to on past Britannia Stadium to Trentham, Tittensor, and finally Stone. After a bit of a climb, we got an amazing panoramic view of all the towns making up Stoke on Trent. Great lunch at Frankie and Bennies, enjoyed the aircon and respite from sun! A fair bit of walking through woodland so we were in the shade but incredibly humid in the trees. We have seen the beautiful and ugly of Cheshire and Stafford, wealth and deprivation, natural beauty and places marred by mankind. Cooler tomorrow 🙂 Only 31 miles to go! End of the road Lichfield hopefully not too late sat pm. Looking forward to being at Nantwich Elim Sunday 10:30 as both myself and Bren will be preaching." UPDATE FROM MICHELLE & BREN FROM YESTERDAY: "Day 3 Two Saints Way: What a day! Our bodies feeling a bit more spritely today. Got going 8:30 from Hough, Cheshire. A day of extremes: beautiful quaint Cheshire and Staffordshire village life and then some industrial and derelict areas in Stoke! Hoorah! Yes, we made it to Festival Park, Stoke On Trent. About 19 miles waking! So we now are halfway, done 46 miles of the route. Walking south hoping to get to Stone tomorrow. Going to be hot tomorrow forecast 32 degrees with thunderstorms late afternoon." UPDATE FROM MICHELLE & BREN ABOUT YESTERDAY: "Two Saints Walk, Day 2 - Wow hot today here in Cheshire. We started at Barbridge then made our way to Swanley, then Acton then back to canal making a needed pitstop at Nantwich Marina. Then into Nantwich and across fields to Wynbunbury Moss then across some more fields to Hough. Lots of styles to cross, many very overgrown with brambles. Also, a few electric fences to be negotiated! We saw more cows, sheep, horses, donkeys, tiny ponies and plenty of insects - many who wanted to feed on us! Beautiful fields of corn and oats. Praying as we go for our farmers and for revival in our land. Brendan and I are heading on towards Staffordshire tomorrow." #sponsored92milewalk #keepgoing #youcandothis If you would like to sponsor them, please click here: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/regentsperkcafe
