NIDA runs exercise and dance sessions in Nailsea on Friday evenings and the sessions are open to all, encompassing all age groups, bring together indigenous, ethnic and cultural backgrounds, and welcoming families with children. Free membership. NIDA’s main activities are exercise and dance sessions held in Nailsea on Friday evenings with members from Nailsea & Backwell, Clevedon, Portishead, Weston-Super-Mare, and the surrounding villages and rural areas such as Cleeve, Hewish, Long Ashton, Wraxall, Yatton and Pill. In addition, in the three years since our inception, we have organized social events such as charity fundraising for areas affected by earthquake and tsunami, demonstrations in schools and at community events to promote healthy life style, workshops on family health and energy saving, international cookery demonstration, multi-cultural fashion show etc., which are very well received by all who attend our Friday evening sessions.

To celebrate NIDA’s sixth anniversary, we will be holding a celebration party at The Nailsea Grove Sports Centre (Address: St Marys Grove, Bristol BS48 4NQ) on the evening of Friday 17th June (7pm-10pm), with some dance demonstrations, international food tasting, and a raffle. A skittle alley has also been booked for the evening. Please come along and see what this friendly, vibrant community group is all about, admission free.
