Our friends from Melrose Rugby Football Club are crowdfunding for a 3G pitch for all sports to Melrose, home of the famous Rugby Sevens. For those of you who are not familiar with a 3G pitches (we weren't), those are the most significant and successful development in synthetic surface technology designed for a myriad of sports from golf, fitness training, athletics, children's PE, netball and of course rugby and football at competitive, training and recreational levels. The 3G turf pile (artificial grass ‘blades’) is supported by a thin base layer of sand, and by an infill of rubber crumb, making it an ideal all weather surface. You can support them on the Crowdfunding page.
