How to join the gym
Why?
This is the first question to be answered. People join for many reasons from bodybuilding to stress relief and it is this answer that dictates how your workout is shaped.
How often can I go?
This is the time for honesty both for you and your Instructor because this must be right for you. If you can attend for 30 minutes 3 times a week then we will show you how. Do not allow people to tell you “You have to go for an hour everyday” because this is simply not true. Your results are dictated by the level of intensity, how hard you work, generated during your workout, this is your stimulation, followed by your ability to recover between workouts, sleep, nutrition, workload etc. Increasing the time your workout takes is the most common mistake I see people make; the assumption being if you stay longer you must get better results. INTENSITY IS THE ONLY THING THAT DICTATES RESULTS.
Realistic Expectation
Rome wasn’t built in a day, You can’t build a house without foundations should I go on? People join expecting immediate results or to be able to perform advanced training routines without first developing a base from which to build. Your training should always show progression and be at a level that allows you to perform your exercises perfectly. Remember you must recover quickly from your workouts not be crippled by them.
Induction
We believe your membership is a constant induction and you should learn new things at a speed and level you dictate normally reflected by your recovery capability. You should not be subjected to a “let me show you everything once approach”. Your initial sessions should be at a level that allows you to remember what you have been shown whilst you settle in to your new surroundings and new equipment. You should leave knowing you can do more; training is a series of small victories not an assault on your pain tolerance levels!
Instructors
These should be the source of your training information, knowledgeable and available

facebook.comLosing weight can be as simple as; eat less, do more. It doesn’t have to be restrictive diets, juice diets and hours of cardio. To lose weight you need to be in a calorific deficit. Meaning you need to consume less calories than your body requires to maintain its current weight. For a lot of people this means smarter food choices and cutting down on sugary and processed food. Focus on lean protein choices, healthy fats, complex carbs and leafy greens 🐥🥦🥑🍚 The key to a long lasting successful diet is not to be overly strict, allow yourself a take away or a chocolate bar occasionally. Cardio can be used to dig deeper into the calorific deficit, you’re burning calories whilst exercising meaning your calorific deficit will be larger = more weight loss 🚴🏼♂️🏋🏼♀️

Deep into off-season looking fluffy as, the abs are just clinging on but I'm happy with the amount of size I've put on over winter. Can't wait to shred down for summer now and see what shape I can bring ✂️☀️
