Something to be aware of... iOS 11 may be causing a few issues for some devices. When Apple release a new phone and new software sometimes they don’t get it right first time. This can be true especially for the previous generation devices wanting to upgrade to the same software as the latest release. If you want to take the risk usually everything is fine but in a few cases it can cause all manor of problems from battery issues, to button issues and in extreme cases ‘brick’ the device altogether. When these issues arise Apple try to resolve them but to rewrite the software can take time. In some cases it may take them several attempts to get it right. In the meantime you can be left with a device that has issues for weeks. My advice is if you value your device working properly hold off updating and keep an eye on the results others are getting first. Possibly even google the latest version first to see if there is any bad press. In the main these problem don’t occur for every update, it’s usually just when they release a new phone and the latest iOS and generally only affects the older generation devices. A bit of a challenge but a very happy customer at the end!

Customer info. Some of you may not yet know but using non genuine charger plugs or cables and especially 'in car' cigarette lighter chargers can damage your phones ability to charge your iPhone. The charging chip or U2IC chip in some cases can blow as the power is not regulated properly causing your phone to no longer charge. Signs of this are false charging, charging backwards, not powering up from a flat battery or not registering charge even whilst charging after turning off. If you use these sub-standard chargers and you get these faults it's not the charging port or battery to blame but the charging chip or U2IC that's the cause. It can be replaced so if you experience this issue you know who to call. Google on-line for more evidence.
