Description
Traditional back street ale house serving Goacher's Maidstone ales,Kent cider & bar snacks. No lager,music,TV,fruit machines and no children. Dogs welcome. The rifle volunteer is a traditional side street pub that serves goacher's ales, from a small brewery in Maidstone. The pub has not really been changed much since the 70,s if not earlier. As well as real ale real cider is also available as are basic bar snacks. There are no fruit machines, TVs or music just good conversation or a quite place to sit and read or relax whilst enjoying you ale.

It's Burns night 25th January and to celebrate my (Matt's ) Scottish ancestry we will be serving up some haggis, so if you have never tried it before here is your chance as we will be offering free tasters for you to try. A selection of whiskeys will be available to purchase if you so wish to complement this wonderful Scottish dish.

Just a reminder that tonight is Goachers old night and to complement this heady brew homemade pies are available, many have been pre booked but a limited amount will be available for anyone that hasn't.

New Year's Eve opening times 12-3 then 6-close. Closed all day New Year's Day. Open as usual on Monday evening at 6pm. Happy new year to you all.

The Rifle Christmas festivities start this Friday evening. There will be Goachers Old Ale available on the bar along with mulled Cider. All Saints Church choir will be singing carols from 9pm. Sunday is the Rifle Christmas Draw, numbers will still be available to buy at 20p a go on the day. the draw starts at 2pm. Tuesday is the Christmas Quiz with guest quizmaster Colin Mann. The quiz will start at around 8pm. Christmas Eve we will be open all day. Gina and I wish all of our customers a very merry Christmas
