This is something to work towards next Summer.
Although we are closed for Open Water Snorkelling for fitness in the open water, there is plenty of indoor fin swimming and scuba fitness that can be done. This is Simon Kidd our resident mono fin man taking part in 4000m mono fin open water held at Schulensmeer in Belgium.13 people entered the 4000m, my time was 46,17 .. (including swimming into a sand bank – doh ).
Thanks to all our friendly divers that came throughout the summer months to have a go at swimming or snorkelling in the Open Water!
This Tuesday 25th August is our last Open Water Snorkelling night for the season but open water swimming at Bray Lake continues. Check www.braylakeswimming.com at Bray Lake. Starts 6.00 pm last swim 7.30 pm.
New Snorkellers to Bray Lake. If you are coming to Bray Lake to swim/snorkel, Sat Navs take you through Bray Village to the Lake but that won't work cause the M4 is in the way! Access is off the main Windsor Road and into Monkey Island Lane.
Good News. Bray Lake Watersports is happy for our scuba divers, swimmers, snorkelers, freedivers and fin swimmers to come on any session that Open Water Swimming is available. So you will be welcome to bring your mask, fins and snorkel and get fit with finning on any of the sessions at www.braylakeswimming.com Don't forget its about finning the same circuit as the current open water swimmers in order to get fit. No duck diving allowed!
Join our friendly group next Tuesday 12th July - fun in the Open Water with mask, fins, snorkels or plain swimming. Or just watch the fun!
