www.beginningssoaps.co.uk At Beginnings we believe that natural should be natural.  Many body products claim to be natural, organic, pure etc. but the reality is that the vast majority of products for sale are laden with chemical fillers, synthetic dyes, synthetic fragrance oils and last but not least the preservatives.  The average person tends to have the idea that if these ingredients were not absolutely safe and good for us they would not be legal.  Sadly this is not the case, every day the average person applies such chemicals to their skin, shower gels, shampoos, soaps, moisturisers etc. etc.  It is good to bear in mind that when a product is applied to the skin approximately 60% of that product is absorbed directly into the body.

Enough negative talk, natural products not only protect us from the effects of chemical ingredients, but they also just happen to be GREAT!  Imagine for example our Whipped Beauty Butter.  It is absolute luxury, organic shea butter is the main ingredient, over 50%, it is a fantastic moisturiser and great for sunburn as well.  The blend of essential oils make a very luxurious scent, it really is beautiful.  Many customers at craft fairs will comment on how it immediately reminds them of the type of fragrance used in spa products.

Our soaps are all made by the traditional cold process method, simple and wholesome ingredients such as olive, coconut and avocado oils are combined with an alkali to react and form soap.  The result is soaps that are naturally rich in glycerine, gently cleansing and with good moisturising and conditioning properties.  Most people will tell me that they cant use soap on their face, it is too drying.  The problem is that 99% of people probably have never used a real soap bar before.  Soaps available in the shops are mainly made with detergents, yes, floor cleaners!  They even can have plastic added to make the bar harder, and then the synthetic dyes and fragrances are added, mmm sounds awful!!  A real handmade soapbar is something that you are sure to find of benefit and will soon become a regular fixture in your bathroom!
