To all Friends of Macduff Marine Aquarium - don't forget the members' evening this Wednesday (8 March) at the aquarium from 6.30pm! It's free for Friends of course (and anyone new joining on the night - £10 for adults) and we'll have a wee (quick!) AGM followed by a fascinating talk by ex-Macduff Harbour Master John West about the rich fishing heritage of our town. There will be time for refreshments and a wander about the aquarium in the evening. See you then :)

Interesting new addition to the kelp tank this weekend - a scaffolding platform! This is so our improvement works for the diver access platform can be carried out next week. The aquarium is open this weekend, but don't forget we're closed to the public all of next week(23-27 Jan) so we can safely carry out these works.

Next week we're having some major extension work done on our dive platform. This will improve access to the kelp tank for our divers but it will mean that the aquarium is shut to the public while the work is carried out, due to health and safety reasons. The aquarium will be closed from Monday 23rd to Friday 27th January. We're very sorry for any inconvenience caused in the meantime, but are looking forward to our new and improved platform.
Tiddlers' Fun Time - Mermaids and Monsters
One week until the start of Tiddlers' Fun Time; interactive sessions for pre-school children. Little ones can visit the aquarium and take part in themed sessions with rhymes, stories, trails and crafts. Monday's session is Mermaids and Monsters and dressing up is optional (for children and adults).
