http://www.vintageinn.co.uk/thegreenmanlongfield/. The Green Man in Longfield is a country pub & restaurant oozing rural charm and rustic character. Our picturesque surroundings provide the perfect backdrop for savouring the hearty, seasonal pub-food on our menu, and the carefully nurtured cask ales and fine wines gracing our bar.
A little pub history
The gradual evolution of The Green Man into a pub restaurant traces its origins back to the 17th century, when the building was a farmhouse that brewed ale for the farm workers. Legend has it a green branch was hung out the upstairs window to let the workers know when the ale was ready. The Green Man is still a popular place to enjoy Real Ale.
