Wilton has a Surrey County Champion! A massive congratulations to Oliver Stewart! On the 2nd September he became the number 1 eight and under player in Surrey! In the pictures below, you can see him being presented the trophy by John Phillips and proudly holding up the trophy! Oliver also entered the 9 and under event where he made it to the quarter finals! Well done Oliver!

Dear Members and parents, Please read an introduction from our new Assistant Head Coach. Hello, I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself to you all. My name is Piers Herfet-Jones and I will be joining Wilton Tennis Club as your new Assistant Head Coach. I have previously coached at Westway Tennis Centre and The West Hants Club which are accredited LTA Performance Centres. I have been coaching for over seven years and have gained invaluable knowledge and experience, working with players of all ages and standards. I look forward to helping you out on the courts here at Wilton. I have over fifteen years playing experience competing at a national level. I spent my younger years training in Bournemouth and also spent one year training at the IMG Nick Bollettieri Tennis Academy in Florida. I finished my junior career ranked inside the top 10 in the UK. I was Dorset Player of the Year in 2011, Men’s County Champion in 2014 and was ranked No.1 in Dorset. I have an LTA rating of a 2.1 and I still like to compete when time permits. In 2016, I was fortunate enough to be an official hitting partner at the Wimbledon Championships. I join Wilton Tennis Club as determined, enthusiastic and passionate as ever. Through my past experiences as player and coach, I believe I can help Marc and the coaching team continually grow the very successful junior and adult programmes. It would be a fantastic achievement to have the men’s team join our well-established ladies team in the National Open Team Tennis Finals in a few years time. I will do everything it takes to help the club hopefully achieve this goal in the not to distance future. My short--term aim is to make the transition from Oliver to myself as seamless as possible when I start my role at the club in September and I would like to wish Oliver the very best in his new job in Italy. To all players and parents of the programme, It is nearly time to say bye bye to our Assistant Head Coach, Oliver Schuett. His last day of work at WIlton will be on Thursday 31st August. Oliver is leaving Wilton to take a Head Coach position in Italy. If you were receiving coaching from Oliver, your lessons will be able to continue at the same times with our new Assistant Head Coach. We will send out information on the new coach on Facebook, email and on our newsletter at the end of the month. Watch this space!
