The Drunken Monkey dim sum eatery and cocktail bar opened in 2002, pioneering the trend of evening cocktails and dim sum. It was nominated for the Evening Standard Bar Award in its first year, and today it is considered an East End establishment that is recognised worldwide.
With a relaxed New York vibe and Kung Fu kitsch, it is the perfect eating and drinking den for all occasions. Enjoy a last minute bite with friends, an afternoon Bloody Mary and brunch, or cocktails and partying at our now “infamous” Late Night Monkey Sessions featuring a host of amazing DJs.
Each weekend features an eclectic mix of house, soul and funk. Over the years DJs from across the world have graced the decks with a vibrant soundtrack, including Groove Armada, Steve Proctor, Barrie K. Sharpe, Radio Meuh, Giles Smith, Mauriccio Castella, Ronnie Herel, Maya Jane Coles, DIY Soundsystem, Miss Jools, Eddie Pillar, and Femi Fem – to name a few.
Our space is versatile, with a main bar area, dining section and two private areas (Concubine Room and Liang Shan Po). So whether you’re after a private party, large birthday dinner, cocktail masterclass or late night dim sum, look no further than The Drunken Monkey to host your evening.
