It has been so busy in the kitchen the last 3 days preparing delicious meals with the amazing donations from Aid Convoy Team for Eid al-Adha. With numbers exceeding 1500 a day and tomorrow with our Brussels distribution well over 2500 we are so grateful for the continuing support of so many of you. Thank you <3 #feedingwithoutjudgement #noonisillegal #foodmadewithlove

Love Versus Hate. Whilst some people may not like what we are doing and leave horrendous traps for our vehicles outside the warehouse gates, others are growing food on their allotments, in their gardens and with love. Love will always win, the light will shine. Love is the magic ingredient. We love what we do and stand in solidarity with all those fighting and fleeing oppression, torture and death. #nooneisillegal

So much food

LONDON>>>>Oh my It's hot in here. We have so much nutritious food going out on to the streets tonight. Green bean and coconut Thai curry, Mixed bean and cherry tomatoes, roast potatoes and a tasty green salad with fennel, Spinach, tomatoes’, lettuce with a mustard and honey dressing, Fresh fruit, bread and butter pudding and juice, All this food was made using food destined to the landfill. We still have the usual running costs but it so good to be able to use this resource to help fight hunger on our streets. #saynottowastefood #feedingwithoutjudgement #buildingalongertable #RCKoutreach #Camden #Hackney #Brixton #BethnalGreen

Cooks, chefs, slicers, dicers, smilers and singers, cooking at RCK is so much more than preparing food to sustain people, our aim is to create food that we would want to serve at our tables at home we consider the nutritional value of everything we serve warming in winter and hydrating in summer with as many vegetables as we can cram into every serving and heavy use of healthy spices, garlic and onions 💙most of all we add buckets of love and kindness into every pot💙 I you feel you want to join us and you have love and skills to share, we need you, ❗️and if you have been with us before and have mastered cooking mains we need you now more than ever❗️ thanks to Abdul Saboor for the beautiful photos

Calais Distro

Cruel, relentless and inhumane clearances in the heat create volatile situations for our volunteers. Having to do mobile distributions is heartbreaking and traumatic for us and the refugees. Large amount of food wasted because of CRS responses not enabling distributions is soul destroying. Today is the day we appreciate the relentless efforts put in by our unsung amazing teams, whether they are here for a day, a month or a year. You make RCK what it is, we are all part of the RCK machine. Thank you #Brave #beautilful #caring #Thoughful #mututalaid #feedingwithoutjudgement

Refugee Community Kitchen Outreach

Every week groups of amazing local volunteers come together to sort, deliver, cook and serve over 2000 nutritious meals a month at 5 locations, Camden, Hackney, Bethnal Green, Brixton, and Edinburgh. Here you will find a friendly face, a chat, a smile and of course delicious food. Those we are in service to come from many walks of life, we feed rough sleepers, homeless, unemployed, those in food poverty that have to make choices that nobody should have to make, fuel or food. We are only touching the tip of the iceberg and aim to increase our services with your help. If you want to get involved email us a refugeeCommunityKitchen@gmail.com you won't regret it nor will they.
