Combining working and caring responsibilities
A friend of DEMAND is conducting research into working carers i.e people who balance paid employment with caring for a loved one. The hope is that responses will help to inform the debate about how best to support them. The survey will take approximately 5 minutes to complete. The responses are anonymous. Thank you for your time. https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScAuQzJxsYciBltH2nczl48GCuoaibvuOP2UV9810Sdv9AAjA/viewform
Bon voyage!
Last week we sent a bounty of used disability aids off to find new homes overseas! Thank you to PhysioNet and the Rotary Club of Saffron Walden for putting in the work to collect and distribute this equipment to others who need it. https://www.demand.org.uk/our-stories/everyone/bon-voyage/
Thank you Abbots Langley!
We've been overwhelmed with support from our local community of Abbots Langley recently in support of our exciting project to design an accessible trike for young people. Local residents have been donating used children's toys to help our design team get inspired and begin prototyping! A huge thank you to everyone who has donated and been in touch. https://www.demand.org.uk/our-stories/everyone/thank-you-abbots-langley/
