West Coast Events
Description
Vintage Country Fairs & Event Management
Unique, original, vintage, country, handmade themed events; Country Fairs, Weddings, Birthdays, Bespoke Celebrations.... West Coast Events was created by Sara Qualter and Kate MacDonald, out of the hugely successful events already held at Bishopton House & Gardens in Lochgilphead, who met through their love of vintage ‘things’, specialising in furniture and textiles.
The aim of WCE is to organise yet more, bigger & better, 'Country Living style' events, (some at this beautiful location) and also to provide a bespoke events management service, drawing on the skills & products of many, professional, high quality, predominately Argyll based businesses. Our contact list is second to none! Venues, food & drink providers and suppliers, florists, photographers, art and crafts people, even a theatre company…
WCE works closely alongside West Coast Living, which is Sara Qualter with Katie Ritchie, providing gorgeous vintage & country furniture, set dressing & marketing; Kate MacDonald, providing both business management skills and beautiful vintage textiles under 'Calico Kate Originals' and the fantastic skills of Bill Baillie of Bill Baillie Photography in 'capturing moments'.

facebook.comOn 16th & 17th September, an art exhibition, of artwork by up-and-coming local young artists, will be on display in the beautiful barn at Achnabreck Farmhouse, just outside Lochgilphead (PA318SG). The exhibition, called ‘into the light’ will be host to a variety of art, ranging from sculpture and painting to video and music. Much of the works on show will be available for purchase. This will be one of the first times that young artists in Argyll have been given the opportunity to showcase their creative talent. Running alongside the exhibition there will also be an ‘art lucky dip’, where members of the public can purchase a mystery piece of artwork for just £5. Small artworks have been generously donated for the ‘art lucky dip’ by many established artists, as well as by the young artists exhibiting. The exhibition has been organised by Beth Qualter Buncall & Holly Smith, two young advanced higher art students at Lochgilphead High School. The project has received encouragement & support from Lochgilphead High School, Achnabreck Farmhouse, generous artists, The Archway and MAYDS. The exhibition is open to the public on Saturday 16th & Sunday 17th September between 10am and 5pm. Entry is free. At Achnabreck Farmhouse, PA318SG. As parking is very limited, please car share where possible. Come along and witness the artistic talent of the next generation of artists within Mid Argyll. Facebook page abys.intothelight
