Handmade, traditionally poured, scented beeswax melts & skin products that are child, pet, vegan, eco friendly, carbon neutral & kind to sensitive skin. I'm Paula **waves** and live with my husband Alan, our wee dog Harry, Willow our Cat, Charlie Chops our rabbit and our newest addition Pixie, our Albino African Pygmy Hedgehog.
I've always bought or been bought the usual branded candles and melts. However, as time went on, I realised every scented candle gave me headaches. A lot of research was done and the information I sourced showed that depending on which ingredients are used (namely petroleum, paraffin, soy wax) these individually or combined, can have detrimental effects on your health.
It was at this point, I decided to create some beeswax candles as an experiment.
I was so pleased to find that the beeswax/coconut oil/essential oil(s) mix did not give me headaches, in fact they even helped purify the air wherever they were melted.
Through creating the melts I also made a surprising discovery, they were healing the skin on my hands (I had contact dermatitis).
More research was sought and I decided to see if I could help others, which led to my creating lotion bars initially, then lip balms, baby lotion, whipped nourishing cream, deodorant and my nose and paw butter for pets, with more products in the pipeline :)
I began gifting them to family and close friends. Before long, people were asking to buy them (as gifts) for their friends and family too, and so, Beeswax Scotland was born.
I am passionate about all things handmade and believe you can really feel the difference in a gift that is made with love.
I like to keep our carbon footprint to a minimum and have spent a little extra time and money to source either recycled, recyclable, or re-usable packaging materials where possible.
All my melts are reusable too :) Once the scent disappears, add a few drops of your choice of essential oil and hey presto, it's recharged.
Stored correctly, these will last up to 36 months and they don't evaporate either. Happy Days :)
Everything is cruelty free right down to each individual ingredient which is 100% pure, unrefined and organic, to make sure you are getting the very best.

I am absolutely delighted to share another success story from a young mum using our "Bespoke Pet Spray" as well as our nose and paw butter on her beautiful boy Max. Mandy has been kind enough to give us permission to share their success.. The following paragraphs are her words and their experience... " Our little rescue dog Max a 6 year old Yorkiepoo has had itchy skin as long as I can remember, his coat is very thin and sparse.
