We have a few sewing classes and workshops available in the next few months. _________________________________________ Simple dressmaking with Fanny Bunskoek Sunday 25th February 10am – 2pm On this one day workshop you will make a cosy poncho, following a pattern. The pattern contains a variety of styles. We will make one in the workshop but you will have your own copy of the pattern so can try the others at home. If you are new to dressmaking this would be a great workshop to learn about reading and using patterns, cutting fabric and using simple stitches to create your finished garment. Various techniques will be used and you should leave the workshop with improved confidence and new skills. All materials required will be provided and are included in the price of the workshop £40. __________________________________________ Beginners dressmaking with Pat Laing Four week course (7th March - 28th March) Wednesdays 6.30pm – 8.30pm This block of four weeks is aimed at beginners who are keen to learn how to use a sewing machine and get started in dressmaking. Over the four weeks you will cover many techniques aimed at increasing your confidence in using your machine and will be working on completing a lined skirt with a zip by the end of the course. The total cost of the course is £50 which includes all required materials. More classes coming soon.
