providing therapeutic opportunities for people with disabilities on a working farm Situated 1 mile off the A47, near Acle, on an established arable and livestock farm, we offer the opportunity for people with disabilities to join us to develop new skills in a working farm environment, building confidence, self-esteem. Improving people skills, such as relationships, communication and respect. Development of basic work skills, such as timekeeping, numeric skills, ability to understand and accepts tasks, organisation and focus.
Enhancing quality of life.
Activities at Lingwood Care Farm could include:
Growing, weeding, harvesting crops
Preparing crops for sale
Mowing
Maintenance, servicing and repair of farm vehicles and machinery
Feeding and looking after the farm animals
Farm workshop activities
Walking & feeding farm dog
Inspecting growing crops in fields
Storage checks/maintenance
Recording stock
Weather monitoring and recording
Visiting farm auctions
Renovating machinery
Office work – admin, finance
