Yesterday the inaugural 'Swanholme Tavern' open match took place here at west lodge, with a cold start to the day by the all in the sun was shining throughout the match to make a great days fishing, Stuart Smith got of to a flyer catching within 2 minutes of his first put in for 30 years but the final honours went to event organiser Trevor Bilton who took the match by 4lb from Stuart Smith in 2nd place and Moggie coming in 3rd (even though he tried weighing in tinned salmon!) With special permission from the management the junior match was won by Ben Johnson who fished amazingly to say until yesterday he'd never held a rod before, well done Ben 👍
