Kirsty Farren is a classically trained dressage trainer and rider. Through Kontäkt Dressage, Kirsty sources, produces and sells horses at all levels. Kirsty has enjoyed success competing at the British Dressage Championships and also at FEI International Level.

At Kontäkt Dressage the objective is to work with our customers to get the maximum from their current partnership, whatever their goal. If required we also help them to locate their next equine partner, based on an understanding of how they ride and what they want to achieve.

We can offer a variety of livery/training services to suit your individual needs. We offer varying types of livery at competitive rates. Call or email Kontäkt Dressage to discuss details/prices

Training
Kirsty teaches from beginners to the more advanced level of horses. Kirsty teaches from the floor, but is also willing to get on board to 'have a feel' and see what you as a rider are experiencing, which in turn helps us work together and create the best plan forward for you and your horse.

Generally lessons last 45 minutes; however there may be instances that require the lesson to be a little longer, or shorter depending upon what has been achieved i.e finishing on a 'good note', the fitness of the horse etc.

Having experienced, witnessed and ridden varying 'techniques' whether it be classical, German, Dutch; Kirsty has developed an understanding which makes sense to both horse and rider!

Last but by no means least was our little pocket rocket John Duke’s Thunder with Femke Meiland in the 2 medium classes He was a little hot in his first class with a few costly mistakes due to people walking behind the judges huts and pesky pigeons in the trees 🙈 Much better second test with some really classy canter work in both classes gainingbreally good marks and comments from the judges Super pleased with the boy who is only 6 years old..he is a real talent ..hopefully with the aim of pony FEI classes later this year Huge thankyou to everyone for their help in an immensely long day Lesleyjennings/femkeMeiland and Julia and Gracie Catling..couldn’t do it without you all 😊

Unfortunately our lovely mare Dayrell’s Sunmer with Jayne Turney was not 100%(think she had been putting her new neighbour in his place the night before)so had to scratch from the novice and first elementary test...such a shame..that’s horses(typical 100% sound today!!🙈)

Second to go was my lovely mare Dayrell’s Poppy with Femke Meiland in her first novices Poppy was somewhat excited to be at a party again and spent first few minutes in passage and snorting!! Once she settled she did two lovely tests with a few losses of balance but so much quality Marks a little disappointing especially in her second test but I was super pleased with her and how she’s progressing She will be amazing once she finds her balance and learns what to do with her immense power 🙈

Mixed day at Addington manor yesterday Incredibly early start to get 4 plaited and Upto Addington by 8.30am (and to get a yard of 8 mucked out too) was made rewarding by all the ponies and horses putting their best feet forward First up was the amazing 4 year old Dutch pony Dazzle owned by Charlotte Rollinson ridden by Gracie Catling This pony is absolutely the total package and never disappoints 2 lovely tests to gain 68&69% and win both of his classes Will be a very sad day when he goes to his new home...he will be sorely missed 😢

Fabulous couple of days at Summerhouse regional with Jayne Turney and our lovely boy Farines-O Yesterday in the Advanced medium silver he tried his absolute heart out He produced some really classy trot work that bought a tear to my eye The changes were a little bit hit and miss but he is still so new to this level and still struggles with his strength He lead the class for a long time and was just pipped in the final horses..but he’s booked his ticket to Hartpury I am super proud❤️ Today in the medium gold he made too many mistakes through tiredness He puts so much into his work that sometimes he just finds it to much 🙈 But he still pulled in a respectable score Loads of 7.5&8’s just a couple of lower marks with the mistakes pulled his score down Huge congratulations to Jayne with Cruz III owned by Charlotte Dujardin ,who was second in a seriously hot class won by the one and only Charlotte Dujardin 😊 Massive thankyou to Jayne for all the blood, sweat and tears that she has put into Ginge and all of my horses over the years Am super excited and privileged to be involved in their journey together
