Another successful prosecution in Court last week and one which shows we will track you down eventually if you try and escape prosecution 👀👣 Following witness statements provided by a member of the public, investigations led to us identifying Thomas Nicholson of TN Tree Services of Wakefield as responsible for the flytipping of two lots of garden waste at St Anthony's Primary and Wooler Street in Beeston. The offences took place in June last year but Mr Nicholson moved away from the area and was only recently tracked down and arrested 👮‍♀️ Mr Nicholson pleaded guilty to these offences put to him, which were under section 33(6) of the EPA 1990. He was ordered to pay £30 Victim Surcharge, £600 Fine and £1,000 costs 💷💷💷 Leeds City Council Inner South Community CommitteeYorkshire Evening PostLeeds City Council #beeston #cleanleeds

Another successful prosecution at Leeds Magistrates this week by our team 👏🏼 Dwaine Martin, a landlord from Bradford, flytipped this from a property he has in Beeston onto a #BelleIsle street 😡 This has cost him £4,500 🙂 Evidence and witness statements were gathered and as a result of the investigation LCC took Mr Martin to court, where he pleaded guilty to fly tipping offences under section 33 of the Environmental Protection Act 1990, where he was given the fine of: Fine £3200.00; Costs £1139.68; Victim Surcharge £170.00; Total £4509.68 - payable within 7 days. Please help share and spread the news that flytipping will be prosecuted when we have evidence - and providing witness statements does help. Very proud of our staff this morning who've been in since 4am to clean up #Chapeltown Road and Harehills Avenue - so they can be safely reopened in time for today's rush hour. Still some more to clean up after #LeedsCarnival but that's the bulk of it done. Well done everyone 👍🏼👏🏼 THE OFFICIAL LEEDS WEST INDIAN CARNIVAL PAGELeeds City Council Leeds City Council Inner North East Community Committee BBC Look North (Yorkshire)BBC Radio Leeds Yorkshire Evening Post
