IS YOUR "CHEAT DAY" preventing you get results. When dropping bodyfat the use of a cheat day is doing little more than making the rest of your diet harder!! It's not that we should eat what we want sometimes but eating to excess or referring to a meal as "a cheat" completely goes against what we should understand about nutrition. What were saying is you can pick a day in the week and eat unlimited calories. Let's say your in a 500cals per day deficit hitting 3000cals deficit over 6 days (a decent amount to get steady results). You then go and go 1500cals over daily requirement as your having "cheat day" and your decent deficit over the week become pretty small. You'll lose a small amount of bodyfat 1lb every few weeks and be pissed of (your diet doesn't work). WHAT TO DO INSTEAD? Have a planned refeed. Certainly eat the foods you want but keep within a daily allowance and plan them in. Take more calories than a normal day but remain in a small deficit or go to maintainance. BUT THE BODYBUILDERS HAVE THEM AND THERE SHREDDED! Yeah you'll see bodybuilders who have #cheatdays but the reality it they'll be in daily deficits most people would be uncomfortable with hence still getting mega lean. That being said all the well educated bodybuilding prep coaches I know would always opt for a proper planned refeed over a cheat day. Remember energy in vs energy out is the 1st and most important thing to establish with any diet. Everything else can be tweeked to suit lifestyle restraints and prefrances including refeed days.
